Thanks for clicking through.

I am a writer. I am also an editor and a content developer, but that is because I am a writer first and foremost.

I have spent my entire career in media: Spin, Random House, Details, The New Yorker, InStyle, Cargo. I currently serve as Area Vice President of Brand & Experience for Boston Seaport at WS Development, where I oversee the neighborhood's marketing, brand strategy, and experience. Placemaking, after all, is four-dimensional storytelling — and that's what drew me to this work.

I write consistently for Architectural Digest and have had work published in Fortune, The New York Times, Condé Nast Traveler, Vogue, Out, Time, and The Advocate. As the former Editor in Chief of Condé Nast's Cargo and Time Inc's InStyle — which I helped build into the top-selling fashion magazine in the world — I have a deep foundation in what makes a story journalistic, compelling, and ultimately memorable.

I also publish The Foxman Edit, a weekly newsletter about brand, culture, and why things resonate. You can find it at arielfoxman.substack.com.

Honors: Boston Common's "Power Players" (2024). XPLand's "Top 100 Marketers" (2023). Out's "Out 100" (2022). Business of Fashion 500. Marylou Luther Journalism Award, Accessories Council (2015). Live Out Loud Trailblazers Gala (2014). Crain's "40 Under 40" (2013). The Advocate's "50 Most Influential LGBT People in Media." Out's annual Power List, three times.

Above all this, I am most proud of my fleeting cameo on Gossip Girl and the board seats I hold at Boston Children's Museum and my son's public school.
